"I am a late arrival to the art world as up until now it has always been a hobby of mine and a way to unwind after a stressful day at work. Most of my adult life I have been a teacher to special needs adults mainly those with a visual or hearing impairment. As knitting has been coming more and more back into vogue over the last few years I have helped out at a local knit and natter getting people started from scratch and helping them as they tackled more complex garments. I have also knitted items for those that want to wear something hand knitted but do not want to learn.

Recently I have joined together with Marietta Alker another resident artist of the Redlake Valley to offer courses to those that want to learn more. This can be as easy as beginning to knit to learning more complex things such as socks or indigo dyeing."
